Tudor was trying to keep his mind off his missing mate. He knew he would have to get used to Alex going away, because of his work with the gods, but it didn’t mean he had to like it. He decided to visit his brother, who was using the library as an office. He walked in and found his father there as well.

“Am I interrupting if I am I can come back later I know you have a lot to do shall I go and get you some drinks to keep you going?”

As he was talking, Donovan got up and came over to him, touching his shoulder and smiling at him. “No, you’re not interrupting, and no, we don’t need any refreshments just yet. Come and sit down and join us.”

Tudor smiled and walked over to the desk his brother was sitting at, and sat down, with Donovan sitting next to him.

“Are you very busy? Have I given you too much work to do?”

Dane laughed. “I am busy, but nothing I can’t handle. Everything is ready for tomorrow. We just need to have a run through this afternoon. I’ve also spoken to the land agent selling the farm and have put an offer in that was accepted.”

“That’s good Blake Puff and I are all buying it Puff and I were going to buy it and then Blake said he was going to buy it so it made sense for all three of us to buy it together some of the gargoyle guards like it round here so they can live there Puff is bringing some more of his dragons here and we’re expanding the pack lands we’re going to incorporate our training with the dragons and others from this pack,” Tudor said excitedly.

Donovan laughed and touched Tudor’s arm. “You look happy, Tudor.”

“Well I’m still not really happy about being king but my Alex and friends here all have faith in me but then so does Zeus so what can I do I mean...”

He stopped talking when Donovan touched his arm. “You will make a great king,” Donovan told him.

“You really will, Tudor. Look at all the things you are changing already. You belong to a pack, you’re having a coronation with the Dragon King, you’re buying land where more gargoyles will be staying, and Dad says you’re looking at changing our laws to bring them more in line with the dragons, and they will be changing laws to be more in line with us. That’s all your doing, Tudor, plus, you gave General Gasgoyne a long-overdue promotion,” Dane said.

Tudor was touched his brother thought so highly of him. He looked at Dane and smiled. “I wasn’t sure you were the right person to help me on this journey our past together hasn’t been stellar but you’ve been working hard and helping with anything I ask for if you want to stay as my regent come secretary I would love to have you staying here you will need to swear an oath to Blake as I am part of his pack, but if you want to stay, then you can.
